In June 1961, the Bill Evans Trio performs historic concerts at the Village Vanguard. Shortly after, bassist Scott LaFaro dies in a car crash, and Evans disappears. This novel explores the aftermath, delving into the lives of four people impacted by the tragedy, offering a powerful portrait of grief and a vivid portrayal of the early ’60s jazz scene.
