Gigi, a 20-year-old living in suburban Rome, seeks a sense of family in a skinhead group to cope with his anger. His absent father, Franco, has made his childhood painful. When Franco is released from prison, Gigi and his family confront their past and future. “Familia” portrays a dark psychological narrative of desperate love between a son trying to change his toxic father and a father asking for intervention. Gigi’s story is a journey into despair and self-reflection, emphasizing the struggle for rebirth at any cost.
