In September 1960, Fidel Castro visits New York City for the United Nations General Assembly. His arrival in Harlem is warmly welcomed by the local African American community. From the Hotel Theresa, he meets with various world leaders, freedom fighters, and cultural figures, including Nikita Khrushchev, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Malcolm X, and Allen Ginsberg.
