Czeslaw Bojarski, dubbed “the Cézanne of counterfeit money,” is considered one of the greatest and most successful forgers in history. A Polish-born engineer and researcher, he moved to France in 1940, where he launched an extraordinary counterfeiting operation that would span over 14 years. Operating without any ties to organized crime, Bojarski meticulously produced hundreds of millions of francs in counterfeit banknotes during the 1950s and 60s.
