Lineage

Lineage is a British crime thriller from director Yann Demange, known for Top Boy and 71. The film stars Isabelle Huppert in her first British production as a formidable crime boss matriarch, alongside Dali Benssalah, Adam Bessa, and award-winning recording artist Raye in her breakout screen role. Written by Enda Walsh based on a story by Demange, the film follows Tariq as he attempts to rebuild his life after prison and carve out a new path for himself and his young son Amine. When family loyalty pulls him back into London's criminal underworld, he must confront the legacy of violence that has defined his life. The film is produced by Wayward, Crab Apple Films, Carrousel, Besides Productions, and Why Not Productions, with co-financing from LPI, Lumina Studios, and BBC Film. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in London in early August 2026. Veterans is handling international sales, with CAA Media Finance representing U. S. rights.
