Where the Sun Always Shines (Season 2)

Where the Sun Always Shines returns to Mallorca for its second season, with principal photography now underway on the SkyShowtime original Swedish dramedy. Created and directed by Felix Herngren, the series brings back Per Lasson, Lisa Linnertorp, Erik Johansson, and Rakel Wärmländer, with new cast additions including Kristofer Hivju as Anker, an eccentric Norwegian artist, alongside Johan Glans and Celie Sparre. The production is being mounted by Stockholm-based FLX, with Sussan Treschow producing and SkyShowtime partnering with Swedish pubcaster SVT as co-producers. Erik Ahrnbom joins as head scriptwriter for the second season, working with writers Maria Nygren and Martin Larsson. The series continues filming on location in Mallorca, following the renewal announcement in December 2025 after the first season became the most-watched title on SkyShowtime in Sweden. The second season is expected to premiere on SkyShowtime and SVT in fall 2026.
