Oscar winner Brie Larson stars in Marvel's First Female-Lead Movie: Captain Marvel. Filming will start in February 2018 in Los Angeles, CA.

Captain Marvel Filming in February Marvel Studios has finally set a date for the production of their new film Captain Marvel. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing the film. The story is written by three talented screenwriters: Meg LeFauve (Pixar's "Inside Out" and "The Good Dinosaur"), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raiders and Gotham City Sirens).

Project Synopsis:

Captain Marvel sets in the 1990s and focusses on the Kree-Skrull war. It starts as Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson), an air force pilot who gains her super powers  after the explosion of a device created by the Kree. She becomes Captain Marvel and becomes super strong, has the ability to fly, can absorb and project energy, and has limited precognitive skills. Samuel L. Jackson will be reprising his role as Nick Fury before he got his iconic eyepatch. It is said that Ben Medelsohn will be playing the films unidentified villian.
