Apocalypso Pictures

Apocalypso Pictures is a British independent film production company co-founded by producer Tanya Seghatchian and Polish-British director Pawel Pawlikowski, through which they have produced acclaimed European art-house features. The company is best known for producing Pawlikowski's BAFTA-winning My Summer of Love (2004) and the Oscar and BAFTA-nominated Cold War (2018), which won the Best Director Prize at Cannes. Apocalypso Pictures champions auteur-driven, low-budget international co-productions with an emphasis on strong drama and literary storytelling, frequently partnering with the BFI, Film4, and European co-producers. The company is currently in production on The Island (working title), a dramatic thriller starring Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara, written and directed by Pawlikowski.
