Bluegrass Films

Bluegrass Films is the production company of renowned film producer Scott Stuber, launched in 2012 as a rename of Stuber Pictures, and based at Universal Pictures under a first-look deal with the studio. The company produced a slate of commercially successful feature films including Ted (2012), Safe House (2012), Battleship (2012), 47 Ronin (2013), Central Intelligence (2016), and Bird Box (2018), spanning comedy, action, and thriller genres. Stuber departed Bluegrass Films in 2017 to join Netflix as Chairman of Netflix Films, effectively placing the company in an inactive/dormant state. Since 2024, Stuber has operated under a new production company aligned with Amazon MGM Studios and the revived United Artists label.
