Brooklyn Media is a digital media division of BSE Global — the entertainment company that owns the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center — formally launched in November 2024 to build a global media brand rooted in Brooklyn's cultural identity. The portfolio includes BKMag (relaunched Brooklyn Magazine, focusing on hyperlocal Brooklyn lifestyle content) and Type.Set.Brooklyn (launched May 2025, a digital-first global media brand covering music, sports, style, food, and pop culture through a Brooklyn lens). The venture is backed by billionaire owners Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai (Alibaba co-founder) and Julia Koch, with an editorial team drawn from Complex Media, Condé Nast, and The New York Times.
