Deep Blue Pictures

Deep Blue Pictures is an independent film and television production company founded by director/producer Danny Mooney and producer Eddie Rubin while both were students at the University of Michigan. The company is based in the Ann Arbor/Detroit, Michigan area and has produced numerous feature films since its founding, including the Sundance-premiering Bilal's Stand, the critically acclaimed Mooz-lum, the IFC Films-distributed Love and Honor (starring Liam Hemsworth), and the 2021 Austin Film Festival Best Narrative Feature winner Disfluency. Deep Blue Pictures specializes in socially conscious independent narrative features and has collaborated with studios and distributors including IFC Films.
