EAST Films is a transpacific media company with offices in Los Angeles and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, whose mission is to empower visionary storytellers to excel in the global entertainment market. The company serves as a bridge between the Asia-Pacific Rim and the world, developing genre films for the Vietnamese market, Pan-Asian streaming series, and prestige fare for international audiences. EAST is known for producing the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary 'Be Water' (Sundance 2020) directed by Bao Nguyen, and the award-winning Vietnamese feature 'ROM' (Busan International Film Festival New Currents Grand Prize winner). Founded by a collective of Vietnamese and Vietnamese-American filmmakers including Anderson Le, Bao Nguyen, Ham Tran, Phan Gia Nhat Linh, Jenni Trang Le, and Kenneth Nguyen, EAST also provides production services, location scouting, permitting, and fixer services for international productions shooting in Vietnam.
