Filmax

Filmax is one of Spain's most important independent integrated audiovisual groups, founded in 1953 and headquartered in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). Operating across all stages of the entertainment value chain — development, production, post-production, theatrical distribution, international sales, and exhibition — Filmax is widely recognized for producing the [REC] horror franchise, The Machinist, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Transsiberian, and the Emmy Award-winning TV series The Red Band Society. The company operates dedicated labels including the genre-focused Fantastic Factory, Filmax Animation (via Bren Entertainment in Galicia), Arca Audiovisual (TV production division), and runs the Cines Gran Vía Filmax multiplex in Barcelona, one of Spain's only complexes with 4DX theatres.
