France 3 Cinéma

France 3 Cinéma is the film co-production subsidiary of France Télévisions (the French public broadcasting group), established in 1984 to fulfill the cinematic co-production mandate of France 3. It co-produces approximately 25–35 French and European feature films per year across drama, comedy, animation, and documentary genres, with an emphasis on first and second films, socially engaged subjects, and regional/heritage storytelling. Since its founding, the company has co-produced over 1,000 films with a total investment exceeding €330 million (to end of 2023), making it one of France's most prolific film co-financiers. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of France Télévisions and operates alongside its sister entity France 2 Cinéma.
