Gunn Films

Gunn Films was a Burbank-based production company founded in 2001 by Canadian producer Andrew Gunn, operating out of the Old Animation Building on the Walt Disney Studios lot. The company held an exclusive first-look deal with Walt Disney Pictures and was responsible for some of Disney's most beloved live-action family comedies of the 2000s, including Freaky Friday (2003), Sky High (2005), Cruella (2021), and Freakier Friday (2025), collectively grossing over $2 billion worldwide. Andrew Gunn, the company's founder and principal producer, passed away on March 2, 2026, from complications of ALS; the future status of Gunn Films as an active entity is uncertain following his death.
