Justin McConnell

Justin McConnell is a Toronto-based Canadian independent filmmaker, producer, editor, and cinematographer, operating primarily through his production/post company Unstable Ground, Inc. He is best known for directing the horror features Lifechanger (2018) and Broken Mile (2016), as well as the indie filmmaking documentary Clapboard Jungle: Surviving the Independent Film Business (2020). In addition to directing and producing, McConnell serves as a programmer for Toronto After Dark Film Festival, founder of the monthly horror short-film festival Little Terrors (co-presented with Rue Morgue Magazine), and has served as an acquisitions consultant for Canadian distributor Indiecan Entertainment.
