Masterpiece (Distributor)

MASTERPIECE is the long-running PBS drama anthology series produced and presented by GBH Boston (formerly WGBH), which premiered on January 10, 1971 as 'Masterpiece Theatre.' It is best known for acquiring and co-producing acclaimed British drama series — including period pieces, literary adaptations, and mysteries — for American audiences, and has won 83 Primetime Emmy Awards and 20 Peabody Awards. In recent years, MASTERPIECE has expanded from a pure acquirer/distributor of British content to actively co-producing and developing its own original British dramas. It is distributed in the U.S. via PBS broadcast, the PBS App, PBS Passport, and the PBS MASTERPIECE Prime Video channel.
