Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television (MGM Television) is the television production and distribution arm of MGM Studios, a subsidiary of Amazon since 2022 and now operating under the Amazon MGM Studios banner. Founded in 1956, it specializes in broadcast syndication, scripted and unscripted series production, and distribution of television content globally. The division is behind iconic franchises including Survivor, The Voice, Shark Tank, The Real Housewives, The Handmaid's Tale, Clarice, and Stargate, as well as scripted series such as Wednesday and From. Following its Amazon acquisition, MGM Television operates as the legacy television label within Amazon MGM Studios' broader global TV operation, led by Head of Global Television Peter Friedlander.
