New Stage Theatre

New Stage Theatre, founded in 1965 and chartered as a nonprofit, is Mississippi's premier professional regional theatre located at the Jane Reid-Petty Theatre Center in Jackson. The company produces a critically acclaimed season of five mainstage productions, a holiday show, the Eudora Welty New Play Series (established 1984), and an Unframed Series, alongside extensive arts education programs including statewide touring productions, summer camps, and workshops. Under Artistic Director Francine Thomas Reynolds (since 2006), the theatre has been a cultural cornerstone for over 60 years, hosting approximately 125 guest artists per season and serving audiences in the historic Belhaven neighborhood of Jackson.
