Red Planet Pictures is one of the UK's leading independent drama production companies, established in 2006 by award-winning writer and showrunner Tony Jordan and run by co-CEOs Belinda Campbell and Alex Jones. The company is best known for producing the long-running global hit Death in Paradise and its spin-offs Beyond Paradise and Return to Paradise, as well as acclaimed series including Sanditon, Dickensian, and Our House. In 2024, Fremantle — owned by RTL Group — acquired a majority stake in Red Planet through its purchase of Asacha Media Group, with Red Planet continuing to operate independently under its existing leadership.
