Scholastic Entertainment Inc. (SEI) is the media division of Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL), the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books. SEI develops and produces live-action and animated series and feature films for audiences of all ages, adapting beloved Scholastic properties for platforms including Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, PBS Kids, and Paramount. The division also creates licensing and merchandising programs for key properties and is active at major entertainment trade shows including MIPCOM, MIP Jr., Kidscreen, and Licensing Expo. Formerly known as Scholastic Productions and Scholastic Media, it was relaunched in 2017 under current leadership; in June 2024, Scholastic acquired 9 Story Media Group (including Brown Bag Films and 9 Story Distribution International), which now forms part of the broader Scholastic Entertainment segment. The division also operates the Scholastic TV streaming app, launched in September 2025.
