SpindleHorse Toons

SpindleHorse, doing business as SpindleHorse Toons, is an American independent, women-founded, and women-led animation studio founded in 2018 by Vivienne 'VivziePop' Medrano and based in Burbank, California. The studio specializes in traditional 2D frame-by-frame animation and is best known as the production home of the 'Hellaverse' shared universe, including the hit series Hazbin Hotel (co-produced with A24 and Amazon MGM Studios) and Helluva Boss (now co-produced with Amazon Prime Video). In September 2025, 106 of its employees unionized with The Animation Guild, and the studio expanded with the launch of its Australian division, SpindleRoo, whose first project was an animated pilot adaptation of the webcomic Homestuck.
