Steve Starkey

Steve Starkey is an Academy Award-winning American film producer and second unit director best known for his decades-long collaboration with director Robert Zemeckis. He co-founded the production company ImageMovers with Zemeckis and Jack Rapke in 1998, producing landmark films including Forrest Gump (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Picture), Cast Away, Contact, The Polar Express, Flight, Allied, and Here (2024). He also pioneered the use of motion-capture technology in feature filmmaking and, in semi-retirement, has authored two industry memoirs published under his own imprint, Sand Point Press.
