Tennessee Entertainment Commission

The Tennessee Entertainment Commission (TEC) is a state government agency under the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development that promotes and facilitates economic development of Tennessee's film, music, and creative technology sectors. TEC administers the state's production incentive program — offering up to a 25% grant on qualified in-state expenditures — to attract film, television, music video, commercial, and animation productions to Tennessee. In 2024 alone, TEC assisted 223 productions across 42 counties, generating a $147 million direct economic impact and over 3,600 production jobs.
