The Mark Gordon Company

The Mark Gordon Company is an American film and television production company founded in 1987 by producer Mark Gordon (originally co-founded with Chris Meledandri as The Meledandri/Gordon Company). The company is renowned for producing blockbuster films including Speed, Saving Private Ryan, and The Day After Tomorrow, as well as landmark network television series such as Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Ray Donovan, and Designated Survivor. Entertainment One (eOne) acquired a 51% stake in 2015, then the remaining 49% in 2018, fully absorbing the company; eOne was subsequently acquired by Lionsgate in December 2023, under which the company's legacy continues to operate. Following his departure as eOne president in 2019, Mark Gordon relaunched an eOne-backed production entity under the banner Mark Gordon Pictures, expanding into theater production alongside film and television.
