Troublemaker Studios

Troublemaker Studios is an independent American film production and post-production company founded by filmmaker Robert Rodriguez in Austin, Texas, originally incorporated as Los Hooligans Productions in 1991 and reincorporated under the Troublemaker name in 2000. Located at the former Robert Mueller Municipal Airport, the facility houses production offices, multiple sound stages, the largest green screen in Texas, a VFX division (Troublemaker Digital), and a post-production sound facility (Troublemaker Sound). The studio is best known for producing the Spy Kids franchise, Sin City, Machete, Predators, and Alita: Battle Angel, and in 2020 rebranded its production entity to Double R Productions while the Troublemaker facility name remains in active use for tours, events, and studio productions.
