UB Iwerks

Iwerks Entertainment, Inc. was a Burbank, California-based public company founded in 1986 by Don Iwerks (son of legendary Disney animator and inventor Ub Iwerks) and Stan Kinsey, both former Disney executives. The company was the world's number one provider of 8/70 large-format theater systems and the industry leader in ride simulation, with nearly 200 installations across 38 countries spanning theme parks, museums, casinos, and more. The company received two Academy Awards for Scientific and Technical Achievement and was acquired by Toronto-based SimEx Inc. in 2002, forming SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment.
