Universal Cable Productions

Universal Cable Productions (UCP) was an American television production company founded in July 2008 as a division of NBCUniversal's Cable Entertainment Group, spun off from Universal Media Studios to produce original scripted content for cable networks including USA Network and Syfy. Over its operational lifespan (2008–2019), UCP produced critically acclaimed and commercially successful series such as Suits, Mr. Robot, The Sinner, The Magicians, Colony, and The Umbrella Academy. In early 2019, the company rebranded as Universal Content Productions to reflect its expanded mandate into streaming and digital platforms including Netflix and Peacock.
