Andrew Lloyd Webber, Baron Lloyd-Webber, is an English composer and impresario widely regarded as the most commercially successful composer in musical theatre history. He has composed over 21 musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Sunset Boulevard, with his shows having run continuously in the West End for 50 years and on Broadway for over 43. An EGOT winner, he holds seven Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards (plus the Grammy Legend Award), an Academy Award, fourteen Ivor Novello Awards, seven Laurence Olivier Awards, a Golden Globe, and a Primetime Emmy Award. He was knighted in 1992, created a life peer in 1997, and appointed a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by King Charles III in 2024; his company, formerly The Really Useful Group (founded 1977), rebranded as LW Entertainment in August 2025.
