John M. Penotti is a veteran American film and television producer with over 55 credits, born in Paterson, New Jersey and based in Los Angeles. He is best known for producing the landmark box office hit Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and the Academy Award Best Picture nominee Hell or High Water (2016). He co-founded GreeneStreet Films (with Fisher Stevens, 1994–2013), founded Ivanhoe Pictures (2013), and served as President/Co-CEO of SK Global Entertainment until Centricus acquired it in 2022. He is now operating under his own Penotti Pictures banner, and is widely regarded as a pioneer of local-language international production strategies across Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
