Julie Plec is a creator, showrunner, executive producer, and director best known for building the complete Vampire Diaries Universe (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Legacies), which spanned 13 years and more than 300 episodes of television. Under an overall deal at Universal Television through her production banner My So-Called Company, she co-created and showran We Were Liars (Prime Video, 2025), which hit #1 worldwide, and co-created The Girls on the Bus (Max). She is currently in development on the tennis academy series Rally and the novel adaptation Alchemy of Secrets, both at Prime Video and Universal Television respectively.
