Michael Barnathan (born March 1958) is an Academy Award-nominated American film producer and co-founder/President of 26th Street Pictures (formerly 1492 Pictures), the production company he launched in 1994 alongside director Chris Columbus and producer Mark Radcliffe. He is best known for executive producing the first three Harry Potter films, producing The Help (2011) โ€” which earned him Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Best Picture and a PGA nomination โ€” and producing the Night at the Museum franchise. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (BFA, 1980), he began his career under veteran producer Edgar J. Scherick. Current projects include Gremlins 3 (Warner Bros., November 2027) and the Disney+ series House of Secrets.
