About
Michael Joseph Downey (1966–2024) was a New York-based producer and executive with credits spanning feature films, television drama, and commercial advertising. In 2004, he co-founded Hero Content with his wife Christen Downey, a production company and advertising agency responsible for award-winning commercials for Nike and Procter & Gamble, as well as the Tribeca Film Festival selection 'Roadie' (2011). He also served as New York Unit Producer on Showtime's 'Ray Donovan' for Seasons 5, 6, and 7. Downey passed away suddenly on March 18, 2024, in Norwood, New Jersey.
