About

Zach Lipovsky (born February 7, 1984) is a Vancouver-based, Emmy-nominated Canadian director, writer, producer, and visual effects specialist who began his career as a child actor before rising as a finalist on Steven Spielberg's On the Lot (placing 5th out of 12,000 directors worldwide). He is best known for co-directing Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025) with long-time creative partner Adam B. Stein, which became the highest-grossing installment in the franchise at $317M worldwide and the highest-grossing film ever shot entirely in Canada by a Canadian. Following that success, Lipovsky and Stein signed a sweeping first-look deal with Sony Pictures through their newly launched production company Wonderlab, with a slate including Metal Gear Solid, an animated Venom film, The Earthling (Columbia), The Traveler (Paramount), Gremlins 3 (Warner Bros./Amblin), Long Lost (Universal/Amblin), and Freaks Underground. He is also the co-founder of Reel Apps Inc. and designer of Shot Lister, the world's leading shot listing app.
