Project Summary
Based on the true story of Marguerite de la Rocque, a young noblewoman abandoned in 16th-century Canada. Condemned for being pregnant from an assault, she is left with her rapist and maid on a deserted island near Newfoundland. Marguerite must survive two brutal years of starvation and cold, transforming through her fight for survival.
