Project Summary

Alien: Earth is back in pre-production for its second season, with filming set to begin this summer at Pinewood Studios in London. Created by Noah Hawley for FX, the series serves as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien film and became FX's largest streaming premiere to date following its August 2025 debut. The show follows Wendy, a hybrid synthetic being with a child's consciousness, and her group of 'Lost Boys' as they confront deadly Xenomorphs and other alien species after a deep space research vessel crashes on Earth in the year 2120. Season 2 will expand the world-building, with Peter Dinklage joining the cast in a major role alongside returning stars Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, and Samuel Blenkin. Production marks a significant shift from Season 1's Thailand locations to London, where the original Alien films were shot. The series is executive produced by Hawley, Ridley Scott, and Dana Gonzales for FX Productions, with a 2027 release window expected following the summer shoot.
