An Expectation is an immigration-themed psychological drama inspired by true events. The story revolves around a music teacher Yakup, who emigrated to America for political reasons, wants to bring his wife Ays e and their daughter Nes¸e to New York illegally. Yakup struggles psychologically as he tries to save money to bring his family and leave his past behind at the same time.
