Aquí

Aquí is a dystopian drama directed by Tiago Guedes, adapted from J.M. Coetzee's Jesus Trilogy by screenwriters Guedes and Luís Araújo. Films Boutique has picked up sales rights to the film, which debuts in the Cannes Premiere section in May 2026. Principal photography began in September 2025, with the 65-day shoot filming in brutalist architecture sites in Portugal, especially in Porto, Viana do Castelo, Coimbra and Lisbon, complemented by port scenes in Spain's Cantabria region. The film stars Manolo Solo, Patricia López Arnaiz, Sergi López, and Lambert Wilson, and introduces Álex Peláez and Hugo Encuentra. Producer Paulo Branco leads the production through Leopardo Filmes in Portugal, in co-production with RTP, Alfama Films in France, and APM in Portugal. The film is now in post-production ahead of its May 18, 2026 world premiere at the Debussy Theatre in Cannes.
