Atonement

Baghdad, 2003 - at the start of the Iraq War, three lives intersect. Lou, a U.S. Marine, opens fire on a car, killing an Iraqi woman's husband and two sons. Michael, a "New York Times"reporter, finds the woman, Mariam, and her daughter in a hospital and tells their story. Years later, a guilt-ridden Lou contacts Michael, asking him to help arrange a meeting with Mariam to seek forgiveness.
