In present-day London, a group of radical activists infiltrate a high-profile energy company's gala at the Shard, the tallest skyscraper in Western Europe. They hold 300 people hostage, aiming to expose the corruption of the hosts. However, their noble cause is jeopardized when an extremist among them intends to kill everyone in the building to spread his anarchic message.
