Critterz

Critterz is an AI-assisted animated feature currently in production, with AGC Studios handling worldwide sales. The project is written by James Lamont and Jon Foster (Paddington in Peru) alongside Tom Butterworth, and directed by Nik Kleverov of Native Foreign. Chad Nelson, a creative strategist at OpenAI, serves as producer with Allan Niblo and James Richardson of Vertigo Films. The film adapts a 2023 viral short and represents what producers describe as the first mainstream family feature to integrate AI throughout its production pipeline. With a budget under $30 million and a nine-month production timeline, the project is a collaboration between Vertigo Films, Native Foreign, and OpenAI. AGC International is screening first-look footage at the Cannes Film Market. Executive producers include Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan, Jane Moore, Stuart Ford, and Aghi Koh, with funding from Federation Studios.
