Florida
Project Summary
Florida is a four-episode disaster mini-series greenlit by Netflix as a standalone sequel to the hit Norwegian series La Palma. Written by Lars Gudmestad and directed by Cecilie Mosli, the series picks up just hours after the volcanic eruption depicted in La Palma, shifting focus to a Norwegian community in the United States still oblivious to the approaching tsunami. Produced by Fantefilm, the production company behind The Wave, The Quake, and La Palma, the series continues the 'Scandisaster' genre that has proven successful for the streamer. Lasse Greve Alsos and Jan Eirik Langøen are producing, with Martin Sundland serving as executive producer. The series is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027, with casting and production timelines yet to be announced.
