Gasoline

Gasoline marks James Merendino's return to punk rock cinema, more than 25 years after his cult classic SLC Punk! The indie feature is set in the world of 1990s punk and follows a cash-strapped singer battling to maintain his sobriety who pushes his teenage brothers into a summer road tour of dysfunctional performances. Merendino directs from his own script, with the story based on true events from the band Eight Buck Experiment. Isen Robbins, Aimee Schoof, and Megan Freels Johnston produce for Intrinsic Value Films, alongside band founder Evan O'Meara. Kate Geller is leading the casting process, which is currently underway. Principal photography is expected to commence in August 2026.
