God Of The Rodeo

Set in 1967 at Louisiana's Angola Prison, the film follows Buckkey, a hardened inmate serving a life sentence who discovers a potential path to redemption through the prison's first-ever inmate rodeo. As Buckkey and his fellow prisoners train for what may be their final shot at dignity, they come to realize that the rodeo is a brutal spectacle designed to entertain the public and feed the warden's messianic ambitions.
