Hold On to Your Angels

Hold On to Your Angels marks the return of Benh Zeitlin, director of the Oscar-nominated Beasts of the Southern Wild, with a sweeping romantic drama set in the disappearing landscapes of South Louisiana. Paul Mescal plays a hell-bound outlaw opposite Jessie Buckley's ferocious shepherd of lost souls in what Zeitlin describes as an impossible love story for the end of America. Plan B is producing alongside Alex Coco's Rapt Film banner, with international sales handled by The Veterans and domestic rights represented by CAA Media Finance. The project reunites Mescal and Buckley following their acclaimed work together in Hamnet, for which Buckley won the Best Actress Oscar. Production is set to begin in February 2027 in South Louisiana, with the package currently being introduced to buyers at the Cannes market.
