Ignition
Project Summary
Ignition is a high-concept thriller currently in post-production, directed and written by Emmy-nominated filmmaker James Erskine. The film stars Maisie Williams as Sylvie Johnson, whose routine drive to London spirals into chaos when an anonymous caller informs her that a bomb has been planted in her car. Forced to follow the terrorist's instructions with her every move monitored, Sylvie must deliver the ticking device to its target—the Royal Albert Hall. The project also stars BAFTA nominee Rory Kinnear and Lovi Poe. Produced by New Black Films under their New Bright Films label, alongside Playhouse Pictures and Sharp House, the film was shot using a live cinema approach on real London locations and roads with remotely operated multi-camera systems. WestEnd Films is handling world sales and presenting exclusive footage to buyers at the Marché du Film in Cannes this May. Principal photography has wrapped, with the project now in post-production ahead of festival and distribution.
