Impunity
Project Summary
Impunity is a new espionage thriller from Chilean filmmaker Felipe Gálvez, whose debut The Settlers earned the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes 2023. Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas lead the international co-production, which is currently in pre-production with a 2026 filming start expected. The project is based on Philippe Sands' book 38 Londres Street and explores the historic 1998 arrest of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in London — the first time a former head of state faced the possibility of losing immunity and standing trial outside his own country. The screenplay reunites Gálvez with his Settlers collaborators Mariano Llinás and Antonia Girardi. Production will take place across Chile, Spain, and the United Kingdom in both English and Spanish, with Pathé handling international sales. The supporting cast includes Alfredo Castro, Antonia Zegers, and Alejandro Goic. Rei Pictures, Quiddity, Ronda Cine, Les Films du Worso, Zeta Studios, Snowglobe, and Pathé are producing, with Stan and de Armas also serving as executive producers.
