Project Summary
Jesus Live! is a bold new classic soul musical that reimagines the life of Jesus through humor, music, and modern conversation. Returning 2,000 years later, Yeshua steps onstage to set the record straight -- challenging the mythology, misconceptions, and revisionist history built around him. Joined by Mary Magdalene, God, and a series of larger-than-life characters, the show explores religion, power, love, and truth through sharp satire and 60's soul / classic rock energy. Part concert, part theatrical event, and part cultural reckoning, Jesus Live! is provocative, funny, and deeply human. The production will rehearse from May 3 - June 10, 2026, with performances on June 14, 19, 25, 2026 at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The production is being produced by William Threadgold/Combined Artform and directed by John Coppola.
