George Alan O'Dowd grows up in a working class Irish family and ultimately his rises to stardom as Boy George, the charismatic, flamboyant and even androgynous frontman of the 1980s New Wave group Culture Club. The larger-than-life George never disguises who he is – a fearless, ruthlessly honest young man with an open identity who is years ahead of his time.
