Project Summary
Lines is a tragedy about what artists surrender for permission to matter. The rules are simple: perform the scene you are given. Each story grows increasingly personal, increasingly cruel. After each performance, one actor is dismissed — they exit through a door known only as THE ROOM. No one returns. Each story is a test, each elimination is of moral consequence, until the final winner discovers that victory is not freedom, but employment: the role consumes the self. In this way, we see that excellence is often a way to choose the terms of your own suffering. The production is written by Euan Lathrop and Bellamy Brewster, directed by Bellamy Brewster, and produced by Andrea Sastoque. Shows run from June 17 to June 28, 2026, with a possible extension through July 5. Rehearsals begin May 24, 2026. Network/Studio: Theatre 154 (Off-Off-Broadway, New York, NY)
